Hey!  Welcome to my website.

Thanks for taking the time to visit. I am a writer who has Southern skin with a  Northern spin. My first book, HUGS FROM HEAVEN: PORTRAITS OF A WOMAN'S FAITH, was published in 2000. Before that, I wrote a weekly newspaper column for 17 years, and have been published in WOMAN'S DAY and other magazines along the way.

My second book, a collaborative non-fiction titled, MAN FROM MACEDONIA- MY LIFE OF SERVICE, STRUGGLE, FAITH AND HOPE, was released in February 2010.  My third book, THE PREACHER'S NEW GIRLFRIEND is completed and looking for a home.

Enjoy your stay as you click around this site. Please feel free to drop me a line (see 'Contact' tab).  I love hearing from folks and I do my best to answer all correspondence, so pull up a comfy chair, grab a cup of tea and type away.  I'd love to hear from you.

MAN FROM MACEDONIA: MY LIFE OF SERVICE, STRUGGLE, FAITH AND HOPE

In telling his life story, Reverend Aaron Johnson takes us to the front lines of the fight for civil and human rights in our country over the last fifty years. Whether being beaten and dragged from a dime store lunch counter, standing blindfolded before a Ku Klux Klan mob, or praying arm-in-arm with a death-row inmate, Johnson with the writing talents of Deb Cleveland, shows us how human hatred and fear smells, sounds, and feels, and how it feels to empower others with hope and trust.

Told with humility and humor, Johnson's story reminds us that one individual-- with focus and faith-- can effect great change despite repeated hurdles.  Readers will come to know Aaron Johnson as a friend and inspiring hero who suspects that God still has a few projects waiting for him on his to-do list.
